We know this is a trying time for each and every household. We are grateful to be of service in these times and will be here as we have been for the past 30 years to make sure our neighbors’ needs are met. That’s why at al-Maaʿuun, housed at historic Masjid an-Nūr (Mosque of The Light), we aim to put our faith into service of others (khidmah) via our ḥalāl food assistance programs. We are officially licensed through the state to be a Meals on Wheels provider for the wider Twin-Cities Metro area. We offer gluten-free, diabetes-friendly options.

Meet Imam Makram El-amin

As the imam of Masjid An-Nur in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he’s led a fast-growing, culturally diverse congregation in his hometown to the forefront of interfaith dialogue and neighborhood outreach. A 2014 Bush Fellowship recipient, El-Amin imagines a new narrative of Muslim life and leadership, one that has at its core a vision for social change and justice.
