The first rakah has the initial takbirat (Allahu Akbar) and then seven (7) takbirat for a total of eight (8).
Then recite Al Fatihah and a short surah.
The second Rakat has the initial takbirat
(Allahu Akbar) and then five (5) more takbirat for a total of six (6).
Then recite Al Fatihah and a short surah.
